
AQUATIC EXERCISE CLASSES

AQUA SCULPTING (Intermediate / Advanced) Fun and challenging deep and shallow water routines for those serious about their water workout. Burn fat; improve muscle tone, strength, flexibility and endurance. Aqua-steps, Hand buoys and noodles are used for added resistance and strengthening exercises.

A.F.Y.A.P Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program This water exercise program is designed for people with arthritis, joint and related conditions. Focusing on increasing range of motion, muscle strength, flexibility, and endurance, this class allows you to participate without excess strain on joints and muscles. This class is certified by the Arthritis Foundation and is led only by trained and certified instructors.

AQUACISE (Beginner/Intermediate) Low-impact water aerobics, progressing at your own pace, using noodles in the warm-up, cardio boxing, kick boards and hand buoys for strength and toning.

WATER WALKING (Beginner) Gentle yet effective walking routines combined with muscle toning, strengthening and posture improving exercises to make this the perfect aquatic workout for beginners, those over 50, those rehabbing injuries or pregnant. Walk yourself to better health.

AQUA MIX This fun low impact water exercise program is designed to help increase joint mobility and muscular strength as well as promote cardiovascular fitness and endurance. Certified personnel conduct the sessions.

AQUA JOG This class combines strength, cardio and endurance moves in the water. The use of water weights, aqua belts and step offer an overall body workout.

PILATES H20 Develop strength and flexibility with fluity and grace. Learn how to move the body as an integrated whole. Build a stronger core (abdominals and back) and improve posture and body awareness.

Please contact the Front Desk or the Aquatic Dept. for class days and times. All classes fill up quickly and have an enrollment limit.

Parents are permitted on deck and observe lessons on the first and last day of each session. During the remainder of the session, parents are asked to wait in the lobby so that the children may give their full attention to the instructor.
GENERAL AQUATICS
POOL HEALTH REGULATIONS
All persons using the swimming pool must take a hot soapy shower before entering the swimming pool. This is a State Board of Health regulation and will be enforced by our lifeguards. Failure to comply with this rule will mean immediate removal from swimming pool area. Do not plan to swim if you have open sores, stitches, infections, scabs or band-aids. Proper swim attire is required. No basketball shorts.

LAP SWIM If you are unable to swim complete lengths of the pool, it is recommended that you practice during open swim times until your skills and stamina improve.

MEN'S SWIM Men only 18 years and older.

WOMEN'S SWIM Women only 18 years and older.

OPEN SWIM Open swims are for all ages, children under the age of six must have a parent in the swimming pool with them at all times. Children 6-12 must demonstrate at least Guppy level swimming ability in order to swim in deep end. Lifeguard on duty will test all children's swimming ability before being allowed to swim in the pool.

OPEN/LAP SWIM All rules for open swim apply. The pool will be divided into open/lap swim lanes depending upon the number of patrons requesting lap swimming at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty.

FAMILY SWIM A parent must accompany children at any age.
