The Hobart Family YMCA is always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our staff team. Current job openings will be posted on the web site and updated on a bi-weekly basis. Interested individuals should come by the Y and pick up an application at our Courtesy Desk, complete the application making sue it identify the position for which they are applying and return it to the Courtesy Desk. Applicants may also email their resume to Admin@hobartymca.org.

The application will be forwarded to the appropriate supervisor and the prospective applicant will be contacted within five business days.

FITNESS PROFESSIONAL


An excellent opportunity for a part-time fitness professional. The Hobart YMCA is seeking a motivated individual to assist in all areas of health and wellness, which include, Personal Fitness programs, personal training, exercise class instruction and body assessments.

Personal Training Certification is required, a Bachelor's degree in fitness or related field is preferred. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, personable, and a highly motivated self-starter available to work 15 - 20 flexible hours per week. Must be available nights and weekends.  Apply in person at the YMCA. 


LIFE GUARD

Must be available days, evenings and weekends. Must possess current Red Cross or YMCA Life guarding Certification, CPR/First Aid, and pass a skills test.  Please apply in person at the Hobart Family YMCA.

BABYSITTING COORDINATOR

Part-time person needed to supervise Babysitting Department of the Y.  Responsible for supervising youth ages 6 mos. to 12 years, hiring, training and evaluating babysitting staff, preparing work schedules.  Must have at least 5 years verifiable experience or college level courses in child development.  Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA.   

RECEPTIONIST

Must be available to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings both weekdays and weekends. 10 - 25 hours per week. Basic skills including answering multi-line telephones, receipting of money, selling memberships and programs, providing information in person and by telephone.  Please apply in person at the Hobart Family YMCA.

SCHOOL-AGE CHILDCARE

We are currently accepting applications for our First Choice School-Age Childcare program.  Openings for the 2008/2009 school year include Site Leader and Site Aide positions at Martin, George Earl and Liberty afterschool sites as well as site aides at the YMCA.  Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA.  Resumes are welcome.  Previous childcare experience a plus.  Call 942-2183, ext 14 for more information.

PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Looking for a high-energy person age 21 and over who loves working with young children and has previous related work experience.  A CDA is preferred but not required.  This is a part-time position, 18 - 20 hours per week and available during the school year (Sept. - May).  Apply in person at the Front Desk of the Y.  Submit a resume along with teh application if available.

SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER

Needed to transport children to and from school sites to YMCA in the absence of the regular bus driver.  The ideal candidate would also opt to work in the School-Age Childcare Program and be available on a daily basis in case the sub driver was needed.  Please apply in person at the Front Desk of the Y.

CUSTODIAN 

Part-time evenings and weekends.  Previous cleaning experience required.  10 - 15 hours per week.  Compettive wage.  Apply in person at the Front Desk of the Y.
