The Hobart Family YMCA is always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our staff team. Current job openings will be posted on the web site and updated on a bi-weekly basis. Interested individuals should come by the Y and pick up an application at our Courtesy Desk, complete the application making sue it identify the position for which they are applying and return it to the Courtesy Desk. Applicants may also email their resume to admin@hobartymca.org

The application will be forwarded to the appropriate supervisor and the prospective applicant will be contacted within five business days.

Current Job Openings

Life Guard

Must be available days, evenings and weekends. Must possess current Red Cross or YMCA Life guarding Certification, CPR/First Aid, and pass a skills test. Please apply in person at the Hobart Family YMCA.

Babysitting Coordinator

Part-time person needed to supervise Babysitting Department of the Y. Responsible for supervising youth ages 6 mos. to 12 years, hiring, training and evaluating babysitting staff, preparing work schedules. Must have at least 5 years verifiable experience or college level courses in child development. Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA.

1st Choice

We are currently accepting applications for our First Choice School-Age Childcare program. Openings for the 2010/2010 school year include Site Leader and Site Aide positions at Martin, George Earl and Liberty afterschool sites as well as site aides at the YMCA. Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA. Resumes are welcome. Previous childcare experience a plus. Call 942-2183, ext 14 for more information.

Custodian

Part-time evenings and weekends. Previous cleaning experience required. 10 - 15 hours per week. Compettive wage. Apply in person at the Front Desk of the Y.


SEASONAL-SUPER SUMMER DAY CAMP INCLUSION COUNSELOR

 

Hobart Family YMCA is seeking fun, energetic, child-centered, mission-driven people to implement recreational programs for children with and without disabilities.

 

Responsibilities include interacting with, supervising, and developing positive character traits in children.  The inclusion facilitator will be a counselor primarily responsible for seeing that inclusion of children of all abilities is successful.  Position requires a passion for children of all abilities and a willingness to serve others, as well as good communication skills, leadership skills, and organization skills. Previous work experience in child development and/or working with children with disabilities is beneficial but not required.  Please fill out an application.  Applications can be picked up at the YMCA front desk.  Please attach your resume.

 

The dates of the day camp are June 14-August 20, 2010. 

Training will be provided prior to the start of camps.  There are approximately 24 hours of training.

 

Interviews will begin on April 20, 2010
