The Hobart Family YMCA is always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our staff team. Current job openings will be posted on the web site and updated on a bi-weekly basis. Interested individuals should come by the Y and pick up an application at our Courtesy Desk, complete the application making sue it identify the position for which they are applying and return it to the Courtesy Desk. Applicants may also email their resume to dpolomchak@hobartymca.org

The application will be forwarded to the appropriate supervisor and the prospective applicant will be contacted within five to ten business days.

Current Job Openings

Life Guard

Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends. Must possess current Red Cross or YMCA Life guarding Certification, CPR/First Aid, and pass a skills test. Please apply in person at the Hobart Family YMCA.

Maintenance Person

Must have extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, property management.  At least five years verifiable experience in facility maintenance required.  Formal certification preferred. Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, wage range $10 - $14 per hour.  Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA and attach current resume to Executive Director.

Baby Sitting Coordinator

Part-time person needed to supervise Babysitting Department of the Y. Responsible for supervising youth ages 6 mos. to 12 years, hiring, training and evaluating babysitting staff, preparing work schedules. Must have at least 5 years verifiable experience or college level courses in child development. Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA.

1st Choice, School Age Child Care

We are currently accepting applications for our First Choice School-Age Childcare program. Openings for the 2011/2012 school year include Site Leader and Site Aide positions at Martin, Ridgeview and Liberty after school sites as well as site aides at the YMCA. Custodian

Part-time evenings and weekends. Previous cleaning experience required. 10 - 15 hours per week. Competitive wage. Apply in person at the Front Desk of the Y.

Sport Coordinator

The Hobart Family YMCA is accepting application for the position of Sports Coordinator.  This position will be responsible for design, implementation and evaluation of the youth and adult sports programs offered at the Hobart Y.  A degree in recreation is preferred but not required.  At least five verifiable experience working in an established sports program including parks and recreation is required.  This a part-time position requiring 25-30 hours per week.  The approved wage range for the position is $10 - $14 per hour based upon qualifications.  Please apply in person at the Hobart YMCA and submit your resume along with the application.
