TRY A CLASS PASS (FREE)
The purpose of the Try-the-Y Pass is to encourage program and membership growth. Passes are available to Y members who will use them to bring their friends as prospective class members. A prospective class member may use the FREE pass ONE time for any exercise or water exercise class. Passes may not be used for the weight room, fitness center, or the gym.

HOBART FAMILY YMCA GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift Certificates to the Hobart Family YMCA are available at the business office. They may be used toward memberships, programs or child-care. Gift certificates are available in $20 increments.

The Hobart Family YMCA is a TOBACCO FREE building!

CHECK IN PROCEDURES
All members who are planning to use the pool, fitness center, gym, or locker rooms must STOP at the front desk when entering the building to have their Key Tags scanned.  Members going to class do not need to have their Key Tags Scanned, BUT do need to stop at the reception desk and check in with the receptionist for any class.

Front Desk Staff can ask for PICTURE IDENTIFICATION along with your valid Hobart YMCA Membership card to verify your identity if you have not been issued a Key Tag.

The YMCA understands that Members sometimes forget their key tags. However, Members who occasionally forget to bring their membership key tags will asked to wait while membership and photo identities are varified before they may enter the YMCA. If your card has been lost you will be asked to replace it at a cost of $5 per card. It is in the Members best interest to remember that your membership Key Tag is your pass to your YMCA privileges.

Failure to comply with the rules may result in the loss of membership privileges. PLEASE HELP THE YMCA MAKE THIS SYSTEM WORK. IT IS YOUR PROTECTION AGAINST NON-MEMBERS UNFAIRLY USING THE FACILITY!

AWAY PROGRAM
Members of the Hobart Family YMCA are welcome at over 1,000 YMCA's nationwide. You will find your AWAY identifing emblem on the back of your key tags.  If you still have a paper membership card, please stop in and pick up your new key tag for indentifiacation in the AWAY program before leaving on your trip.

An arrangement with the YMCA's in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte Counties allows you to use those Y's when in the area. Continuing use of these Y's will require purchasing a membership at the Primary usage YMCA. Members of YMCA's in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties qualify for reduced class prices at the Hobart Family YMCA.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
It is the policy of the Hobart Family YMCA that no person be denied YMCA services due to inability to pay the prescribed fees. Therefore, the Hobart YMCA is committed to providing assistance to families that cannot afford membership dues and/or program fees. Applications for scholarship assistance are available at the front desk.

Hobart YMCA financial assistance is granted on the basis of financial need and available YMCA resources. Assistance is granted without regard to race, creed, color, religion, nation of origin, age, sex, handicap or marital status.

NO YOUTH WILL BE DENIED A MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE OF
AN INABILITY TO PAY THE FEE.
PROOF OF FINANCIAL NEED IS REQUIRED.

If a family or individual feels it cannot continue Y membership due to job layoff or other loss of income, come in and talk to us before dropping out. In many cases the Y can grant extended membership time so you can stay active until you can return to work. We pledge to support our members as long as we are financially able to do so. YOU ARE THE REASON WE ARE IN THE PEOPLE BUSINESS!

This is your YMCA

In an effort to maintain the cleanliness of the entire Y for everyone - including the locker rooms & bathrooms, please take it upon yourselves as guests of this facility to work toward that end by placing your garbage in the proper containers, picking up articles left on benches and in lockers. The goal of the Board of Directors is to keep the cost of your membership as low as we can. YOU can achieve this goal by keeping your YMCA neat and clean. Remember abuse of this facility will only cost you more in the long run in the form of higher members and program fees. THANK YOU!

Funds are available for low-income families needing Financial Assistance in order to have their children participate in these programs. In order to apply for this financial assistance, families must provide proof of application and rejection from Lake County Child Care Development Program (CCDF or The Step Ahead Program). LAUW OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS
The Hobart Family YMCA receives funding for the 1st Choice School-Age Childcare Program to provide assistance to low-income families. Any LAUW funded programs require Outcomes based measurements of these programs. In order for us to measure the results of our stated program outcomes, we need your help. We need a sampling of children enrolled in our school-age childcare program to participate in this study. If you, as a parent, are interested in participating in the Outcomes Measurement Study over the course of several years, please contact the Executive Director at 942-2183, Ext. 13. Parents willing to participate in this study will receive a stipend for their participation.
